Drawing at the Met - Portrait & Figure: Friday August 23, 2019 - 10:30am - 1:30pm. Limited to six students.
Spend a few hours drawing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with Matthew Archambault. Matthew has taught many classes at the Met. Let him guide you through some of the best galleries for learning how to draw a portrait and the figure.
This course will focus on figurative drawing through utilizing many of the museum's statues and paintings.
Topics included: Warming up with gesture, learning how to see angles and measurements correctly, drawing the portrait and figure using light and shade, plus so much more.
This three hour class will focus heavily on technique. Each gallery will have a purpose. Upon sign up students will be emailed instructions on where to meet along with what to bring.
